Computer-aided administration and handling of tasks in the realm of translation management

Optimize translation processes

Creating web portals, product information and technical documentation worldwide means permanent content management in all the languages. The translation management within the Noxum content management system enables consistent and testable translation processes as well as noticeable savings in translation costs.

Würzburg, October 15, 2014 – Noxum GmbH, specialist for content management and editorial systems, has deployed Noxum Publishing Studio at globally-positioned enterprises. The central supplementary tool of the content management system (CMS), the Noxum Translation Process Manager, is the proven tool for efficient translation management.

Translation Management

The translation management of Noxum Publishing Studio contains all functions from the creation of language variants, the determination of relevant translation candidates, through the export to translation service providers, the review and following completion, the import in Noxum Publishing Studio.

Consistent translation data becomes available and the translation quality is optimized by the process safety. The translations are centralized, translation duplications are avoided and a higher degree of reuse is attained.

The reuse of translations requires modular capture of the contents. The granularity of the content blocks can be reduced to the level of words. When new documentation is created unchanged text elements are not retranslated, i.e., only a small part of the objects are selected for translation.

Process safety

Translation workflows in XML-based editorial systems enable faster reaction to translation requirements. By automated translation workflows a better scheduling fulfillment of translations, a higher quality of translation, and faster time-to-market for products can be attained.

Public Interface to TMS

There is an interface to exchange data between CMS and TMS for enterprises wanting to deploy a translation memory system (TMS). Noxum is a member of the DERCOM association, which works on the completion of a public interface, Common Translation Interface, abbreviated COTI, to exchange data between the editorial system and the translation memory system.

Visitors of the tekom annual conference can learn more news about COTI on Thursday, November 13, 2014, 11:15 AM.
