Adobe InDesign, CD-ROM and website publishing with the Noxum Publishing Studio
Three publication formats for Koenig & Bauer AG
The service department at Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA) is benefiting from being able to produce Adobe InDesign documents more quickly. The printing-machine manufacturer can publish its service products for various machine types in the form of printed catalogs and CD-ROMs or via a web service portal. As a result, KBA managed to produce its "Service World" CD-ROM in time for the drupa 2008.
Würzburg, June 26, 2008 - Noxum GmbH, the specialist for content management and editorial systems, has enabled Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA) to offer additional publication formats. KBA is a long-standing customer of Noxum GmbH and already maintains its multilingual web portal using Noxum's content management system.
KBA is now able to export the data which the Noxum Publishing Studio maintains in five languages to Adobe InDesign and also publish these data on CD-ROM. The CD-ROMs are used to make a section of its homepage available offline. KBA is thus able to back up its important marketing campaigns. For the first time ever, KBA distributed its "Service World" CD-ROM as a sales support tool at the drupa 2008, the world's largest trade fair for the printing and media industry, in Düsseldorf. The "Service World" CD-ROM contains full details of the technical services provided over the entire life cycle of printing machines.
KBA has become more flexible when producing printed media too. Given that the editorial content is already available in updated form in the content management system, the lead time when publishing printed media is reduced accordingly. Long production periods at KBA are now a thing of the past. Even the specialist department which had no previous experience of maintaining data using the Noxum Publishing Studio now finds it easy to publish content in the desired formats.
